Empowering parents through education and support.
I'm so glad you found your way here. If you're reading this, you're likely on a parenting journey that looks different from what you expected—one that comes with unique challenges, questions, and often, moments of feeling overwhelmed or alone.
I created Parenting Potentials because I understand firsthand what it means to raise a child with ADHD, anxiety, and at one point ODD. The standard parenting playbook often doesn't apply, and the advice well-meaning friends and family offer rarely addresses the complexities you face in daily life.
Here, my goal is to provide find more than just information—you'll find understanding, practical strategies, and a community that recognizes both the struggles and the incredible joys of parenting exceptional children. Through my books and online parent training programs, I offer tools and approaches specifically designed for the challenges you're navigating:
My approach isn't about "fixing" your child—it's about understanding their unique needs and helping them thrive while preserving your family's well-being. It's about transforming daily battles into opportunities for growth and deeper connection.Whether you're just beginning to seek answers or you've been on this path for years, you've found a place where your experiences are validated and your family's potential is recognized. You're not alone on this journey.

Hi, I'm Olivia Tanner Greene – mom, writer, researcher, and fellow traveler on the parenting journey.
My story began when my first child started showing signs that something was different. Later came diagnoses of ADHD, anxiety and related conditions for both my children, launching me into what has become over a decade of diving into understanding neurodivergence – not just academically, but in the challenges of daily life.
Truth be told, I never planned to become an expert in this field. But as any parent of neurodivergent children knows, you quickly learn that standard parenting approaches fall short. So I immersed myself in everything from Positive Parenting to cognitive behavioral therapy, desperate to find strategies that actually worked for our family.
The transformation in our home didn't happen overnight, but gradually, we found our way to a place where challenges became manageable and joy became more abundant. The practical tools we discovered made such a difference that I couldn't keep them to myself.
That's why I write – to share what I've learned through both research and lived experience, to translate complex concepts into actionable strategies, and most importantly, to let other parents know that they aren't alone.
When I'm not writing with a cat on my lap, you'll find me exploring new places with my never-boring kids, collecting experiences, and constantly learning. These adventures not only bring us closer as a family but provide the fresh perspectives that enrich my work.
My greatest hope is that through my books and training programs, I can help make your parenting journey a little easier and a lot more fulfilling than mine was in those early, uncertain times.
